Prepare yourselves because this is about to be the most gushing, lovey-dovey review you've ever read. I LOVE ORGANIX LA. I'm seriously so in love with this place. If Organix LA asked me to marry it, I'd say "YES, YES, A MILLION TIMES YES" like they do on those reality TV wedding shows. Their food is THAT good.
Organix LA has this totally unassuming, nondescript exterior. Located in a strip mall in Eagle Rock, you can't even really tell it's a restaurant, due in part because it actually operates as a grocery store and a deli. You would never expect that a tiny little market deli would cook up these insane meals bursting with flavor and creativity. Never judge a book by it's cover, yo! When you walk into Organix, you're bombarded with the most amazing plant-based products, from fresh produce to Field Roast cheese, to frozen "fish filets". The place is a vegan paradise. It's honestly what my heaven looks like.
Organix LA offers tons of great vegan options, from coconut bacon caesar sandwiches to triple stacked burgers, to jackfruit tacos. Eager to try as much as possible, my friend Taryn and I split three things (we go big). We got the Mac Daddy, a vegan Big Mac, the Southern Belle, a veggie burger piled high with mashed potatoes and gravy, and the carne asada fries, a plate full of fried goodness topped with portobello carne asada, cashew cream, and guacamole. After we had already demolished enough food to feed a family of six, the owner brought out some freshly made jackfruit tacos on the house. Even though we were rolling on the floor in pain from eating so much, we each devoured a taco. Perfectly spicy with the most delicious marinade ever, these fruit-based tacos are the poster children for Taco Tuesday.
Literally EVERYTHING we ordered was amazing. From the homemade burger patties to the artfully stacked sandwiches and intensely flavorful toppings, you can tell that a lot of thought goes into crafting each dish at Organix. I firmly believe that you simply cannot go wrong with anything you order there. There wasn't a single plate that I preferred over the others, every bite was equally delicious.
Organix LA is the perfect spot to bring your non-vegan friends. The menu features super familiar bites (like the aforementioned Big Mac and tacos), with a unique, plant-based spin that won't send carnivores running. The menu is versatile, the food is out-of-this-world, and the service is perfect. Go to Organix LA. You won't regret it.
