As much as I hate to admit it, I'm completely and totally addicted to coffee. I absolutely love the way the first sip suddenly breaks the sleepy fog in my head and gives me that rush of clarity. It's the perfect start to my day. Normally, I take my coffee with just a splash of almond milk, but sometimes I crave something a little more indulgent.
This morning was one of those mornings. I had a few frozen bananas in my freezer, a tub of cold brew coffee in my fridge (which is a rare treat for me), and a packet of Ka'Chava Chocolate Superfood Powder. Remembering the first coffee beverage I ever ordered (a tall caramel frapuccino at age 13), I decided to recreate the frozen drinks I felt so cool for drinking when I was younger.
This Ka'Chava Coffee Banana Freeze is way healthier than the ice blendeds available at cafes, but still tastes creamy and sweet enough to satisfy your craving for a decadent coffee bev.
Ka'Chava Coffee Banana Freeze
-3 frozen bananas, chopped
-1 cup Cold Brew Coffee
-.5 cup Almond Milk (or non-dairy milk of your choice)
-2 tbs Ka'Chava Chocolate Superfood Powder
-coconut shreds and raw cacao nibs for garnish
Place all ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Enjoy with a straw (to prevent the coffee from staining your teeth, duh!).
